Established in 1956 Cambridge Panelworks has been owned and managed by Dale Gerrand and his wife Donna for 22 years Dale also served his apprenticeship at Cambridge Panelworks and eventually left to start his own business Queen Street Panel and Paint in 1984, he then sold out of QSP and bought Cambridge Panelworks from his former boss Charlie Cleland in 1993.
Over the years the industry and staffing has changed although, two long term and very experienced staff members of Neville Fisher and Ken Graham, who have been here for a great deal of the last 22 years, offer a skill set second to none, whose combined experience along with Dale exceeds 100 years. They are fully up to the play with the skills required in this ever evolving industry.
The workshop is fully equipped for all the repair types that Cambridge Panelworks undertakes, and as a long established and reliable business, they have built a clientele based on good business ethics, reliability, honesty, and customer satisfaction.
Personal Interests
- Hot Rodding and Classic Cars - Dale who is a founding member of the Stragglers Rod and Kustom Club, has built many rods in his lifetime, and his currently owned projects feature in our gallery of photos along with magazine articles. Stragglers run an annual car show in Cambridge attracting a large crowd and raising money for charity, generally locally based chartities that do not get mainstream funding, funds raised generally range from 15-20k.
- Variety the Childrens Charity – Dale has been a supporter of this charity for in excess of 20 years, attending many annual events, in support of there various fundraising initiatives.
